MONTHLY YOUTH FORUM about the Gospel
  • GROUP 1 - “It doesn’t mean that we need to be religious just to be a fisher’s of men. We just have to spread the word of God and act upon the gospel. We can be fisher’s of men by: living the gospel values, involve ourselves to different organizations and spread the word of God.”
  • GROUP 2 - “Fisher’s of Men are believers of men. If a fisherman collects fish, then a fisher of men gathers men to proclaim with him the word of God. It is not necessary to be religious to be a fisher’s of men, the important thing is you believe the there is a God who exist. We can be fisher’s of men by believing and having faith in the works of God.”
  • GROUP 3 -“We can be fisher’s of men by serving others and serving God wholeheartedly.”
  • GROUP 4 - “We can be fisher’s of men by just doing simple good deeds and following the will of God.”
SYNTHESIS: Ate Lizette said that we don’t need to be religious to be a fisher’s of men. We must put into actions what God teaches us. Example is when we say “The lord is with you..” we respond “ and also with you.” We join in preaching others. Then our faith increases. But we still need to do our obligation as Christian like going to mass. In addition, Kuya Archie stated Youth Ministry itself is an example of fisher of men specifically fisher of young men. We are in this ministry to learn, to act accordingly, to serve or to evangelize other youth. Yes, we don’t need to be religious to become a fisher of men but our actions should be towards spiritual growth. We can evangelize others by not only in words but also actions.

The minutes of the last meeting was read by Christine Rueda, approved by Abby Tulabut and seconded by Michelle Mallari.
